A Gratitude Yoga Sequence: Yin Yoga for Gratitude

Sierra Vandervort // November 23, 2022

Use this gratitude yin yoga sequence to help release tension in your body and open your heart up to more positive energy.

Gratitude is the simple practice of noticing and appreciating what is around us. It’s easy to fall into the trap of the “lack mindset,” where everything seems awful and difficult. While hard times are inevitable, it’s likely that you have more in your life to be thankful for than you realize.

This gratitude yoga flow will help you open your heart and cultivate a sense of peace and gratitude. In addition to heart-opening yin yoga postures, we’ll also work through some gratitude affirmations. This could be a powerful yoga flow for Thanksgiving, the Fall Equinox, or any time you need a few good vibes.

If you’d like to take this practice a bit deeper, you could also try gratitude journaling. This is the practice of writing down and ruminating on things you’re grateful for. If you’re not sure how to start a gratitude journal, check out my free gratitude journal PDF here.

For my practice, I’m using my favorite sustainable yoga rug from Öko Living. These mats are ethically hand-loomed out of organic cotton and dyed with medicinal herbs. Plus, they come from a small women-owned business! If you’d like to grab your own yoga rug, use my code 10thelocalmystic to save $10 on your order.
