The Easy, Self Care Yoga Ritual I Make Time for Every Week

Today I’m taking you through my self care yoga ritual. This is the sequence I do almost every week in order to stay flexible and sane.

Hello, and welcome to your practice! Today I’m taking you through my self care yoga ritual. This is the sequence I do almost every week in order to stay flexible and – let’s be honest – sane 😝

This self care yoga practice is a combination of vinyasa and yin styles of yoga.  It starts with a slow and intentional vinyasa flow that creates heat and space in the body. Then we’ll settle into deeply restorative and nourishing yin postures to help us relax the mind, body, and spirit.

If you’ve never tried this vin-yin style of yoga before, then I’m so excited for you to experience it! This is a great Vinyin class for beginners. Just remember that every body and every practice is different. You don’t have to do exactly what I’m doing in the video. Feel free to modify and adjust the postures so that you can feel comfortable and nourished. Remember, this practice is meant for YOU! It is called self care after all.

For my practice, I’m using my favorite sustainable yoga rug from Öko Living. These mats are ethically hand-loomed out of organic cotton and dyed with medicinal herbs. Plus, they come from a small women-owned business! If you’d like to grab your own yoga rug, use my code 10thelocalmystic to save $10 on your order.
